Touring teaches you things no classroom ever could.
It teaches you how to perform even when you’re exhausted. How to adapt when everything goes wrong. How to trust yourself when there’s no safety net.
I learned how much energy it takes to give — night after night.
I learned how powerful connection can be, even with strangers.
I learned that big crowds don’t automatically mean fulfilment — and small moments can mean everything.
Touring also taught me limits. Physical ones. Emotional ones. The kind you don’t notice until you cross them too often.
And maybe the biggest lesson:
Applause fades quickly. What stays is how you treated yourself along the way.
I’m grateful for every kilometre, every stage, every song sung far from home. Those experiences shaped me — but they don’t define all I am.
They’re part of the story. Not the whole book.
