I am going to be brutally honest on here. I cancelled all my websites. I remember when I started off it was so difficult to design something decent. Now everybody is offering plugins and add ons and shops ect. And I was in the middle of it. I added and added. I made a shopify shop, I made a website with a shop. I made social media. I sold stuff on Facebook market. I did it all. And everywhere you add something they are always ready to take some money. Not much, but I must have spent thousands on it over the years. It kind of added to my mental clutter. Just that it was online.
I recently looked back on the concept of minimalism. And while I think minimalism and arts is a very contradictory chapter I think I still want to add some minimalism into my life. One of the main things I did was reflect where I am consuming and spending time on. Where am I spending unnecessary money?
I came to the conclusion that all of those small amounts online were a big part of where I my money went. And while I still keep my subscriptions to make music (yes it costs me monthly about 20 CHF to only keep my music online, whereas I only earn about 20 every quarter)I still feel it would be a pitty to take it down.
But I did want to clean up all the rest of the payments. Such as shopify, Canva, postdelivery, marketing softwares ect. They would make sense if I had a business making hundreds every month. Which I did not. So they had to go. And so this is where I am at now. Starting at the beginning. With a WordPress site. The place where I started many many years ago.
